Privacy Policy — Tonalys

Effective date: 2026-09-21 Last updated: 2026-09-21

Tonalys ("the app") is a tuner and metronome for musical instruments, published by Balin Corp (Belo Horizonte, Brazil).

This policy explains what the app does with your data. The short version: nothing leaves your device.

What we collect

Nothing. The app has no user accounts, no sign-up, no analytics, no advertising, no crash reporting and no third-party SDKs that collect data. It makes no network requests, so there is no server that could receive your data in the first place.

Microphone

The app asks for microphone access for one purpose: to hear the note you are playing so it can show you its pitch.

Settings stored on your device

Your preferences — reference pitch (A4), in-tune tolerance, theme, selected instrument and tuning, last tempo — are saved locally on your device so the app remembers them between sessions. They stay on the device, are not readable by us, and are removed when you uninstall the app.

Sharing, retention and deletion

We do not collect any data, so there is nothing to share, sell, retain or delete. No data is sold or shared with third parties, and no data is used for advertising or tracking.

Purchases

Tonalys is a paid, one-time purchase sold through the Apple App Store and Google Play. Payment is handled entirely by Apple or Google under their own privacy policies. We receive no payment details and no personal information about you from your purchase.

Children

The app is not directed at children and does not knowingly collect data from anyone, of any age, because it does not collect data at all.

Your rights

Privacy laws such as the GDPR, the CCPA and Brazil's LGPD give you rights of access, correction and deletion over personal data held about you. We hold no personal data about you, so there is nothing to access, correct or delete. You are welcome to contact us to confirm this.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted at this same URL with a new "last updated" date. Material changes will also be noted in the app's release notes.
