Privacy Policy — Stichys

Stichys ("the app") is a pattern tracker for knitting, crochet and cross-stitch, published by Balin Corp (Belo Horizonte, Brazil).
This policy explains what the app does with your data. The short version: nothing leaves your device unless you export and share it yourself.
What we collect
Nothing. The app has no user accounts, no sign-up, no analytics, no advertising, no crash reporting and no third-party SDKs that collect data. It never connects to a server, so there is nowhere your data could be sent.
Patterns and files
You add patterns by picking a PDF with the system file picker or by opening one in Stichys from another app. The app only sees the files you choose; it has no general access to your files. A copy of each pattern is kept inside the app so it is available offline.
Camera and photos
You can attach photos to a project.
- Camera: the app asks for camera access only when you choose to take a photo of your project. The photo is saved inside the app, on your device.
- Photo library: photos are chosen through the system photo picker, so the app only receives the photos you pick and cannot browse the rest of your library.
- Photos are never uploaded or transmitted anywhere. You can refuse or revoke camera access at any time in your device settings; everything else keeps working without it.
The app does not use the microphone, your location or your contacts.
Data stored on your device
Your patterns, the highlights, shapes and notes you draw on them, your counters, your projects and their photos, and your preferences are saved locally on your device. They stay on the device, are not readable by us, and are removed when you uninstall the app.
If you have device backup turned on (iCloud Backup or Google's Android backup), your operating system may include some of this app's data in your own backup, under your Apple or Google account. That backup is controlled by you and is never accessible to us.
Exports
You can export a project to a file and share it through your device's share sheet. The export goes only where you send it; we never receive it.
Sharing, retention and deletion
We do not collect any data, so there is nothing to share, sell, retain or delete. No data is sold or shared with third parties, and no data is used for advertising or tracking. You can delete patterns and projects from inside the app, and uninstalling removes everything it has stored.
Purchases
Stichys is a paid, one-time purchase sold through the Apple App Store and Google Play. Payment is handled entirely by Apple or Google under their own privacy policies. We receive no payment details and no personal information about you from your purchase.
Children
The app is not directed at children and does not knowingly collect data from anyone, of any age, because it does not collect data at all.
Your rights
Privacy laws such as the GDPR, the CCPA and Brazil's LGPD give you rights of access, correction and deletion over personal data held about you. We hold no personal data about you, so there is nothing to access, correct or delete. You are welcome to contact us to confirm this.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted at this same URL with a new "last updated" date. Material changes will also be noted in the app's release notes.
